Theology Matters: New Creation

February 24th, 2018

Many Christians assume that the point of the gospel is that we get to spend eternity in heaven when we die. But is that really what the Bible teaches?

In these interactive seminars, Liam Thatcher will look at what the Bible says about heaven, new creation, and life after death. We will consider:

  • Does God really plan to destroy the Earth and take us somewhere else for all eternity?
  • How does Jesus' resurrection help us think about our own future?
  • Where is heaven, and do we get to go there?
  • What should we do with some of the strange passages that seem to describe the end of the world?

The day will take place at:

The London Institute for Contemporary Christianity, St Peter's, Vere Street, W1G 0DQ

We will start at 10.00 and serve coffee mid-morning. Lunch is not provided, but there are plenty of places nearby to pick up food during the breaks.

Women's Evening

March 16th, 2018

£3

Friday October 13th is our next women's night!

The theme this year is continuing to be 'Rise Up', a phrase taken from Isaiah 60 in the Bible which champions us to rise up and shine in the light that we have been given.

These evenings are significant for us as women as we cheer one another to rise up into all we have been created to be.

This night we have a panel of our own amazing women speaking on 'wisdom'. Tickets are £3 each and will also include drinks, canapes and a clothes swap.

When: Friday 13th October 7.30pm

Where: St Edmund the King Church, Lombard Street, EC3V 9EA
